Jey Uso is the newest heel in WWE. On the September 8 episode of Monday Night Raw, the fan-favorite superstar shocked the audience by delivering a devastating Spear to LA Knight, confirming a heel turn that nobody saw coming.

The moment occurred in the show’s closing segment. After LA Knight was being attacked by Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker following the main event, The Usos hit the ring, appearing to make the save. After the recently reunited duo cleared the ring of the attackers, it seemed all was well. However, just as LA Knight was helping Jimmy Uso to his feet, Jey leveled him with the treacherous Spear.

The shocking betrayal left Jey’s own brother, Jimmy Uso, standing paralyzed and visibly confused in the center of the ring as the show went off the air.

The turn represents a drastic character shift for Jey, who has been positioned as one of WWE’s top babyfaces ever since his dramatic departure from The Bloodline.

Hours after the show, Jey himself sealed his new direction with a social media post. He uploaded a photo of the attack to his Instagram account with a simple, two-word caption: “I’m back.”
