AEW Dynamite Results – August 27, 2025

Here are the key events from tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite, which took place at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, PA.
Copeland & Cage Reunite, Challenge FTR for All Out
The show opened with FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) in the ring with Stokely Hathaway. Harwood complained about their loss at Forbidden Door on Sunday and demanded that referee Paul Turner reverse the decision. When Turner refused, Wheeler and Hathaway physically intimidated him.
This brought out Adam Copeland, who was soon joined by a surprise Christian Cage. The two longtime partners reunited to attack FTR, brawling through the crowd and back into the ring. Copeland then got on the microphone and challenged FTR to a tag team match at AEW All Out on September 20 in his hometown of Toronto, Ontario.
Jon Moxley def. Daniel Garcia
In the night’s opening match, Jon Moxley, accompanied by his Death Riders stablemates Wheeler Yuta and Marina Shafir, took on Daniel Garcia. “Daddy Magic” Matt Menard came out to support Garcia and even the odds. After a hard-fought and competitive contest, Moxley managed to score the pinfall victory.
HOOK Makes a Surprise Return
Following the match, the action continued. Wheeler Yuta took the microphone and, on behalf of Jon Moxley, rejected a challenge that had been issued earlier in the night by Darby Allin.
After a commercial break, Yuta was still in the ring cutting a promo against the Philadelphia crowd. His speech was cut short by the new theme music of HOOK, who made his surprise return to a massive ovation. “The Cold-Hearted Handsome Devil” stormed the ring, brawled with Yuta, and choked him out with his Red-Rum submission finisher to end the segment.
